CRANLAMILA LABRADORS

Operational Policy

Cranlamila Labrador's main aim is to breed quality registered Labrador retrievers as ideal family pets. We strive to continually improve the breed through our breeding choices. We adhere to the following breeding practices to achieve our goals.

  • Every litter is produced with the intention of keeping at least one pup. Matings are planned thoughtfully and only for the improvement of the breed.

  • Only dogs and bitches that conform to the Standard and have a calm, friendly, trainable temperament are used to breed from. Matings are proceeded with only after thorough research into the lineage of each parent animal.

  • Bitches are only bred after they reach maturity and not more than once every 12 months.

  • Bitches not owned by Cranlamila Labradors will not be mated to a Cranlamila stud dog unless the bitch has a low hip/elbow score, a current eye certificate and has been regularly wormed and vaccinated.

  • No non-Cranlamila stud dog is used unless it has a low hip/elbow score, a current eye certificate and has been regularly wormed and vaccinated.

  • All breeding stock have current clear eye certificates and have been hip and elbow scored.

  • We keep accurate records of all matings, litters, pedigrees and veterinary histories.

  • We screen all prospective buyers to ensure each pup is going to a suitable family environment.
